Job Summary:
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of our company. We are seeking a meticulous accounting professional with a proven track record of leading finance functions in dynamic environments. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing accounting and finance operations, financial projections, modeling, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. Additionally, you will lead initiatives to establish controls, policies, and procedures across the organization. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will be a key contributor to our financial success.

Your Role:

- Ensure the accuracy of financial data by recording, verifying, and consolidating transactions in accordance with GAAP.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
- Build relationships with stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of business drivers.
- Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes.
- Manage year-end audits and statutory filings.
- Oversee accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable processes.
- Prepare journal entries, trial balances, and documentation.
- Develop and maintain process documentation.
- Manage revenue recognition and operations, including billing, contract review, and sales tax compliance.
- Prepare GAAP financial statements and reports.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting required; master's degree preferred.
- Experience with sales tax.

Required Experience:

- 5+ years of financial preparation experience in a fast-paced software or technology company.
- 3-5 years of financial planning and analysis experience.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.
- Proficiency in financial modeling.
- 2+ years of payroll accounting experience.

Location:
Our organization is headquartered in Vermont, but this position is remote-based within the United States. Local candidates have the option to work from the office.
