Job Description:
POSITION GOALS :
Demonstrate and promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion. This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the Back-On-Track to Degree Completion program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : - Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio economic backgrounds.
- Provide support on a day-to-day basis for all aspects of the Back-on-Track to Degree Completion program
- Supports program participation of college recruitment fairs, conferences, open-house events, and related outreach events.
- Maintain successful working relationships with all academic and administrative departments.
- Maintain a database of all related activities for the Back-on-Track Degree Program.
- Create and manage electronic communication with prospective students such as e-newsletters, e-mails, electronic invitations, and other communications to related markets.
- Distributes resource materials for all college supported events.
- Maintain Excel workbook for students participating in the program, to include semester registered, course status, payment status and any other information as deemed necessary.
- Enter purchase requisitions for payments to be made to students or vendors if needed.
- Submit student invoices to accounts payable once the student is eligible to receive payment
- Reconcile Excel workbook to budget to actual report
- All other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior community college administrative experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills: oral and written communications
- Highly energetic, flexible, and motivated with ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to follow-up and stay on track with multiple projects
- Experience with Internet technologies, newsletters, blogs, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software desired
- Availability to work a flexible schedule
