Job description
stayAPT is a new hotel concept that merges the great benefits of apartment living and hotel flexibility into one fantastic living environment opening in Clarksville Indiana at Veteran's Parkway in March 2024.
stayAPT offers our guests the benefits of a furnished suite with a flexible length of stay and no lease obligations of a hotel.
While hotel or property management experience is a plus, no direct hotel experience is required for this position. WE ARE SEEKING TO FILL 2 POSITIONS - ONE WITH SOMEONE WHO CAN LIVE ON-SITE, AND THE OTHER WHO WILL LIVE OFF-SITE. This position does not involve sitting behind a desk but does require basic computer skills. It does require someone who can handle the physical demands of participating in hotel operations in a fast-paced environment where managers are involved in every aspect of the property including suite preparation and light maintenance tasks (for example: touch-up painting). We have the systems and teams to support your development into an excellent property manager.
EXCL Hospitality managers have responsibility for the sales and operations of an extended stay, limited service hotel, and small team. Our successful managers are hands-on leaders who deliver exceptional customer service and quality experience with a team that works hard and is appreciated for their contributions.
Responsibilities:
Lead our full team EXCL Morning Room Preparation process each morning (a physical and energetic time of group effort to set the day's housekeeping goals up for success). Our managers are an integral part of the quality of each room cleaned each day.
- Participate in a daily and direct hands-on way, leading the operations of the housekeeping team while managing the front desk needs of our guests and the maintenance needs of the hotel.
- Lead our sales efforts by building a culture of extraordinary customer service.
- Facilitate sales lead management processes within the hotel.
- Ensure a super clean room by inspections and training.
- Ensure that all safety and security processes are executed to keep our employees, guests, and buildings safe and secure.
- Manage vendor relationships.
- Manage the daily, weekly, and monthly duties for the hotel's online Property Management, Rate Management, Accounting, Human Resources, and Sales Software systems.
- Manage schedule, and review and approve the hotel payroll.
- Drive superior guest satisfaction and manage online reviews and feedback.
- Inspect rooms according to quality standards for cleanliness and proper preventative maintenance.
- Ensure all team members are trained to act competently in the event of an emergency or accident at the hotel.
- Ensure a viable key control program is in place in all hotel departments.
- Ensure team members follow appropriate cash control procedures.
- Ensure the security needs of the property and guests are met.
- Conduct regular team and sales meetings seeking feedback and providing motivation with solutions.
- Respond to requests from the COO and Regional Manager and Weekly conference calls and monthly site visits from owners and management company representatives.
