Job description
We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join our team on a remote basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong tax experience working with individuals, families, trusts, estates, and high net worth clients. In this position, you will be responsible for tax planning, preparation, and review of returns.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and prepare technical memos to support conclusions.
- Develop tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Prepare and review individual, trust, estate, and high net worth returns.
- Consult with clients on tax planning opportunities and compliance strategies.
- Monitor legislative changes and updates to ensure compliance.
- Review and analyze financial data to prepare returns and identify potential issues.
- Assist with client inquiries and respond to IRS and state notices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 5+ years of related tax experience.
- CPA/EA or MST preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work remotely and independently.
