S&H Youth And Adult Services in Salisbury, NC is looking for one medical office assistant / patient access moa to join our 59 person strong team. We have this available in some of our new locations in Charlotte NC, Dunn NC, and in Concord NC. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged.

- clinical supervision and training for licensure/certification. Clinical Supervision for licensure/certification is offered weekly as a benefit of your employment. That time is not paid. Participation in the any of the training and supervision for licensure and certification will require a two-year employment commitment from the commencement date of licensure, certification, and/or supervision and training. Responsibilities
The Patient Access Medical Office Assistant/MOA is responsible for completing patient registration duties including but not limited to collecting and validating accurate patient demographic and insurance information, obtaining pre-certification or authorization as required, and entering all necessary information into EMR system. The Patient Access MOA is responsible for informing the patient of their estimated liability, collecting patient liabilities, identifying patients in need of financial assistance and completing state funds enrollment request as necessary. This position requires multi-tasking and effective problem solving skills. It is expected that the Patient Access MOA will foster positive relationships with all patients in an effort to provide quality service supporting staff in daily operations as evidence by assisting with the daily management of office operations which include answering phones, screening & triaging patients, scheduling patients, record management, workplace safety, billing, maintaining updated access to care database for processing referrals and new admission.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required, bachelor degree preferred
- Patient access (scheduling, registration and financial clearance), insurance verification, billing or certified medical assistant experience preferred.
- Ability to manage projects; conduct research; and disseminate information by using the telephone, mail services, Web sites, and email.
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including fax machines, photocopiers, scanners, videoconferencing and multiline telephone systems.
- Ability to create spreadsheets, compose correspondence, manage databases, and develop presentations, write reports, using desktop publishing Microsoft office software and digital graphics.
