The Tax Director is a lead role within the Tax Function and will report to the VP, International Tax. This role will be responsible for global income tax strategy and analysis and will be deeply involved in reporting and compliance. We are looking for a Tax Director with experience with U.S. outbound income tax law, as well as with local country laws and transfer pricing. This is a high visibility role that will work closely with cross-functional and business partners at leadership levels across the world! This is a hybrid role (2 – 3 days/week onsite) and can be based in our Pawtucket, RI or Renton, WA office. A day in the life of a Tax Director: Advise both tax and non-tax partners regarding the global income tax consequences of business development initiatives and transactions. Lead Hasbro’s global income tax analysis and strategy function by identifying, recommending and implementing opportunities within and outside the U.S. Monitor, quantify, and proactively communicate the cash tax and P/L impact of changes in corporate tax rules (new corporate tax legislation, tax treaties, etc.). Lead and/or support IRS and foreign income tax audits and drive tax risk mitigation strategies including collaborating closely with external advisors and taxing authorities, as needed. Serve as technical leader on U.S. income tax and own the process for income tax compliance outside of the U.S. What you'll bring: Minimum of 10 years of related experience; CPA/MST or JD/LLM strongly preferred. Experience with digital businesses is helpful. Ability to “think big,” source and implement opportunities, communicate effectively to company leadership, and guide/mentor junior team members. Ability to earn trust as a business partner to key teams. Ability to complete large, sophisticated projects across multiple subject areas. Demonstrated understanding of how to breakdown complex tax concepts and apply them strategically to business initiatives. Ability to monitor and dissect new tax legislation, and model/apply it to the company’s overall tax profile to communicate to management. In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the U.S. salary range for this role: $135,000.00 - $250,000.00 . Starting salaries will vary within the stated range based on various factors including but not limited to geographic location, experience, skill set, knowledge, education, performance, market demands and budgetary considerations. The range listed is just one component of Hasbro’s total compensation package for employees. Employees may also be eligible for annual and long-term incentives.
