Are you mechanically inclined and live and breathe anything to do with maintenance? Do you also enjoy managing maintenance people in a highly technical manufacturing environment? Madison-Kipp is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Manager to join our Madison-Kipp Team.

POSITION SUMMARY

This person will manage the Maintenance department at the Richmond, Indiana Madison-Kipp facility. Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the facilities business goals and objectives.

We are looking to fill this role at a supervisor or manager level depending on the candidates skills and qualifications. Qualification are based on a manager level.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Supervise skilled tradespeople, facilities maintenance and machine maintenance crews. This includes selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  2. Provide training opportunities to staff to further employees’ knowledge.
  3. Coordinate procurement of maintenance materials, capital equipment, and services.
  4. Meets maintenance financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
  5. Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
  6. Improves function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
  7. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.
  8. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
