We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our consulting team. This position will be responsible for taking a currently in development actuarial SaaS tool live. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing activities for an actuarial product from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. You will assist the lead product owner in executing on the product business strategy. You will create, own, maintain, and prioritize features within the product backlog for the delivery team. The Senior Product Manager is also responsible for cross-functional stakeholder management to include but not limited to design, engineering, scrum teams, business leaders, etc. You will share the product vision and work closely with business, operations, and technical stakeholders to ensure the cross-functional team delivers on established roadmap milestones. You will have accountability for delivery of product features maximizing new technologies and developing transformative capabilities for customers. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, Develop, and Manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life
- Own, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, including definition of features, user stories, acceptance criteria
- Develop release plans, schedules, and scope
- Demonstrate solid relationship management skills through successfully partnering with colleagues and clients at various levels of the organization
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of product development processes and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Serve as the ‘voice of the customer’ with delivery teams, representing/reinforcing the customer’s perspective throughout the delivery lifecycle by gathering feedback on user experience and perspective
- Reviews, accepts, and prioritizes feedback and new requirements from project stakeholders
- Break down capabilities into detail-level features consumable and testable by a delivery team in one sprint
- Collaborate with lead product owner/portfolio manager to execute against product roadmaps and Release Plans
- Aligning business teams through development of communications, change management, socialization, and education of objectives and detailed requirements of features being implemented (when not on a larger program), including demos
- Validates requirements with businesses and engages with target users to test and iterate on client experience to confirm desired outcome, including demos
- Work with delivery team members to ensure the product functionality is appropriately documented
- Direct, motivate, and guide the delivery teams
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients, internal teams, and stakeholders
- Manage, prioritize, and assess the impact of defects, including providing key input on the decisions to fix or defer with documented workarounds
- Lead collaboration efforts with business stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams to refine business initiatives
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, business impact, performance, and post-launch support
- Willing to work off hours (nights/weekends) when needed for releases

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner for healthcare or analytics software, specifically SaaS (Software-as-a-Service)
- 3+ years of proven experience in agile delivery methods including writing user requirements and acceptance criteria
- 2+ years of proven experience collaborating with development/engineering teams
- Experience in using CA Agile (Rally), Jira or similar tool
- Experience working with technical cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, UI/UX, Program Management, etc.) and cross-organization teams
- Experience working on multiple projects concurrently
- Proven ability to work in a highly virtual and matrixed environment
- Proven willingness and drive to work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Ability to work an off hours schedule (nights/weekends) when needed for releases
Preferred Qualifications:
- Agile product owner or agile leader certification
- 3+ years of Healthcare experience, bonus if in Actuarial space
- 3+ years of experience driving capability enablement and product development
- Experience working in a client consulting environment
- Experience visually communicating business problems and flows – for example with Visio and PowerPoint
- Experience communicating product strategy to a number of different stakeholders and levels of the organization
- Experience using communication and influencing skills in a complex matrix environment
- Proven solid leadership skills and initiative to lead a technical workstream independently
