Job description

Responsibilities :

• Oversees all aspects of the scholarship program at IWU, including maintaining a portfolio of current scholarship donors for stewardship and gift renewal; collaborating with campus partners to execute spring and fall scholarship awarding procedures; collecting appreciation letters from student scholarship recipients; and maintaining scholarship donor records.

• Execute a comprehensive program aimed at personal, creative, and highly informative engagement for annual giving donors, including planning recognition events, and distributing personal communications expressing gratitude and impact. 

• Oversee database management for tracking stewardship activities, analyzing metrics, and creating reports; leverage the potential of Slate for Advancement database to ensure donor relations and stewardship documents are submitted and updated; understand best practices and establish metrics to benchmark and track programmatic success; discover ways to automate stewardship processes in Slate for Advancement whenever possible.

Requirements : 

• Bachelor’s preferred; significant experience may substitute for some education
• Three years’ related experience; experience in higher education or non-profit fundraising preferred
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to recognize trends from qualitative and quantitative data
• Occasional travel required; approximately 2-3 overnight events a year
