The Mainframe System Engineer (IMS) supports the mainframe infrastructure sub-systems focusing on IMS, VTAM, printing solutions, 3rd party software installations and level 3 support in a multi-LPAR environment. This position is required to work with other senior team members to perform problem determination and resolution, capture and transmit system dumps. They are required to work closely with vendor's technical support, apply fixes, patches and versions. They coordinate testing and implementation of new upgrades, and work with other mainframe-based technical teams on non-IMS upgrades. A Mainframe Systems Engineer plays a critical role on a global team that is responsible for ensuring the health and availability of PACCAR’s business systems and subsystem applications. This is an exempt position that may be asked to provide additional coverage on a different shift as needed to include weekends, holidays and overtime as necessary.
As a Mainframe Systems Engineer, you will work with the Mainframe Technology Team. The Mainframe Technology Team is a unique team within PACCAR as it focuses on solving PACCAR’s most important Mainframe platform challenges using experiences, knowledge and analytical skills. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors, including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for the Mainframe Systems Engineer position is $96,700 - $151,300 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift. This is the base range within the U.S.
