Lead Clinical Lab Tech - MicrobiologyDay Shift, Full TimeCompetitive Salary/ Comprehensive Benefits*Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Available*MLee Healthcare has been engaged by a leading healthcare system in New York that is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Microbiology Lab Team Leader to join their dynamic Laboratory team.Responsibilities for Lead Clinical Lab Tech - Microbiology: Lead and manage a team of microbiologists, providing guidance and support for the efficient operation of the microbiology laboratory. Oversee day-to-day operations of the microbiology laboratory, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies. Perform and supervise complex microbiological analyses, including bacterial cultures, antibiotic susceptibility testing, and molecular diagnostics. Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to ensure accurate and reliable test results. Participate in the development and review of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with other laboratory departments and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive diagnostic services. Act as a liaison between the microbiology team and other departments within the hospital. Provide training to laboratory staff on new technologies, methodologies, and best practices in microbiology. Perform similar or related duties within their scope of practice as assigned. Required Skills for Lead Clinical Lab Tech - Microbiology: Reading and setting up plates. Familiarity with VITEK, PANTHER, and BIOFIRE. Qualifications for Lead Clinical Lab Tech - Microbiology: Must be qualified as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in accordance with New York State Department. NYS SED Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist. Must have either of the following: Six (6) years of varied Lab experience following completion of a Bachelor's degree. Four (4) years of varied Lab experience following completing of a Master's degree. EPIC experience is preferred.
