THE COLLEGE: NECC serves about 5,000 credit students each semester on two campuses located in the beautiful, historic Merrimack Valley region of northeast Massachusetts. Our suburban Haverhill campus sits on 106 acres near Kenoza Lake, and features a Technology Center and an award-winning Student One-Stop Center. Job Description:
POSITION: Full-Time PK12 STEM Tech Coordinator: Special Programs Coordinator; PK-12 Partnerships; Haverhill Campus; MCCC/MTA Unit Professional Position; 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm; Pay Grade 4, Grant Funded Position
SUMMARY: The PK12 Partnerships department serves regional high schools to create Early College and dual enrollment opportunities across the Merrimack Valley under the leadership of the Associate Dean.
STEM Tech Career Academies is new initiative in Massachusetts that aims to combine and extend key elements of designated Early College and Innovation Pathways programs.
The PK12 STEM Tech Coordinator will work with students and partners from Haverhill High School to promote access and success in the STEM Tech Career Academy. Central to the role is the desire empower students through self-reflection and engagement in their learning process, to build a community of STEM Tech scholars, and helping students navigate their experience as participants in the program. The position monitors progress of STEM Tech students from early college through associates degree completion, provides outreach and responds to partner and student need, supports recruitment and retention efforts, and provides regular progress and partnership updates to the PK12 Team and partner high school. A primary function of this role is to develop relationships with students, families and partners, and work collaboratively across various NECC departments and with community partners to ensure grant objectives and outcomes are met.
With a goal of building a robust STEM Tech Academy experience that culminates in the completion of an NECC degree and preparing students for careers, the STEM Tech Coordinator will assist and connect STEM Tech Academy students throughout their journey with essential college resources, develop specific interventions, supports and workshops as needed, and build and execute specific STEM Tech programmatic elements including but not limited to mentoring and work-based learning opportunities.

Additional Information:
GRADE AND SALARY: Anticipated salary range is $57,249.00 - $62,448.00 (MCCC Pay Grade 4 with a Bachelor's degree) annually with complete fringe benefit package. Complete fringe benefit package including competitive health insurance, free dental insurance, basic life insurance, long-term disability insurance, paid sick, vacation and personal leave, educational benefits for employee/spouse/dependents, and excellent retirement benefits. Actual salary calculated in compliance with MCCC/MTA classification system. Official transcripts will be required at the time of hire.
