Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

The Compliance Manager will partner with the Vice President Chief Compliance Officer in developing, implementing, and managing an effective healthcare compliance and ethics program.  The Compliance Manager will communicate, drive and proactively monitor compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. 

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of compliance matters including, but not limited to, regulatory research and opinions, hotline investigations, policy platform management, annual risk assessment, conflict of interest, as well as education and training. This position will also be responsible for supporting the work of the Board’s Compliance Committee and the Policy Review Committee.

Essential functions of the job are strong written communication and research skills; organizational abilities; reporting expertise; relationship building; and ethical professional judgment. 

This role requires a critical-thinker, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and perform independent research, factual analysis of compliance matters and create proposed solutions.

Education:

A Master's Degree In A Related Field Required; or, 

Juris Doctor (JD) Required

Experience:

5 years Healthcare Compliance Required; or,

Equivalent Experience Required; and,

Microsoft Office Suite Required

Certification/Licensure:

Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) Preferred

Working Conditions:

Administrative: Works in a well-lighted/ventilated office setting. Subject to frequent interruptions. Willing to work beyond normal working hours when requested to do so. Minimal occupational exposure to infectious diseases, blood borne pathogens, hazardous chemicals, noxious odors, latex, or musculoskeletal injuries. May encounter patients, family members, co-workers, and visitors under all conditions, e.g. hostile and/or emotionally upset.
