Medical Assistant - Primary Care

MUST: 2+ years of experience of Medical Assistant - Primary Care
Must be Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
Must work front and back office
Pediatric Experience strong preferred
Perform sterile procedures
Perform cleaning specifications of various medical equipment, fixtures, utensils and related materials
Prepare and administer vaccines
Preferred Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
DUTIES: Measuring and recording vital signs
Recording patient interview, history and chief complaint
Upload external records and / or preload immunizations
Preparing patients for examination and performing routine screening tests Phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens
dhering to common safety hazards and precautions
Performing EKGs
Skill in developing and maintaining clinical quality assurance
Skill in developing and resolving problems
Communication skills using appropriate medical terminology
bility to use good reasoning and judgment and react calmly in emergency situations
bility to establish and maintain effective working relationship with patients, medical staff, coworkers and the public
Perform outreach calls to patients and / or specialty offices as requested
Perform Pre-Visit Planning for targeted quality measures
Checking electronic outbox of providers and address urgent issues
Completing EHR data entry
Following up on patient care as requested
Other duties as assigned
