Position Description
Village Shalom of Overland Park, Kansas seeks a full-time dynamic, Business Office Billing Manager to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity for the qualified applicant.
Village Shalom is a 308-bed independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation along with a new, secure memory care facility. Our facility situated in the heart of Overland Park, Kansas near 119th Street and Nall Avenue, conveniently located adjacent to Menorah Medical Center with the I-435 connection which circles the KC Metro area.
Requirements
- 3 years of billing and collections in a long-term healthcare environment
- Must have a thorough knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Pending, Applied Income, and Managed Care reimbursement regulations
- The ability to handle multiple priorities and possess strong communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and A/R Software programs
- Village Shalom used the MatrixCare Software Cloud Platform
- Outstanding communications, both written and oral with residents, staff and business partners
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reconcile and enter Census into AR software daily
- Complete daily deposits, download ERA’s, remote deposits, maintain cash log
- Responsible for monthly billing of Medicare, Medicaid, Private/Applied income and insurance claims
- Cash Receipts posting of insurance and resident payments
- Assist residents, family and/or conservators with the timely filing of Medicaid applications and or redeterminations and reliable follow-up
- Maintains regular review of aging to ensure accounts are paid timely
- Prepares, reconciles and submits all month end reporting
- Oversees Resident Trust Fund and completes monthly R/T reconciliation
- Actively participates in weekly Medicare meeting and monthly Triple check
- Manage and coordinate medical record requests (ADR, CMA, etc.)
- Ensure requests for records are distributed to appropriate staff and are recorded, tracked, and submitted timely.
- Review outstanding accounts and manages routine AR review
- Review bi-weekly Medicaid pending’s with Administrator/Social Service
- Facilitates collection cases referred to small claims and legal counsel.
- Prepares compliance reporting requirements for Cost Reports and regulatory submittals
