Job description
We are seeking a Project Scheduler to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Herndon, VA with some remote work possible. The qualified applicant will become part of the Department of State (DOS) Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program, for the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). This initiative is intended to modernize and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology framework in order to better support the services provided to CA’s customers. The Project Scheduler will be responsible for generating and maintaining project schedules, maintenance and update of the program IMS, EVM input, update and analysis of schedule-related metrics, and assistance with monthly reporting.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Generation and maintenance of multiple program/project schedules, including working with the internal program team as well as the customer
- Collaborating with different teams within the program and customer organization for schedule creation and updates
- Update and maintain the program IMS
- Provide input to monthly EVM tracking and reporting
- Develop, update, maintain and provide analysis of program schedule-related metrics and performance
- Provide assistance in generation and delivery of required reports and metrics ? Create/maintain documentation
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8-10 years' experience, OR four (4) years of additional relevant experience in lieu of degree
- At least 3-5 years of experience supporting program/project scheduling activities utilizing standard scheduling and reporting tools
- At least 3-5 years of experience supporting enterprise-wide programs to include generation and maintenance of complex IMS
- Hands-on experience creating and evaluating schedule-related metrics and performance indicators
- Hands-on experience in supporting reporting activities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience supporting large programs with multiple concurrent scheduling requirements ? Experience supporting system development, integration, and test
- Experience working in agile environments
