Job Description: Opal Grand Resort is a Luxury Property located in the heart of Delray Beach who is looking for an organized, personable, and business-minded individual with strong communication skills who can coordinate, plan, and oversee events. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in a full-service Luxury Resort and a strong background in guest relations. The Director must be able to develop and implement strategies with the hotel executive team in effort to exceed budget goals and established quotas Job Summary: Catering Revenue: Forecast Revenue. Set Budget and Goals for the Team. Review Breakdown of Food & Beverage, Room Rental and AV. Reconcile AV bills with Back-up, to Accounting. Print Top 50 Client Report each month, share with staff. Chart quarterly forecasts and Goas for “team”, each individual and the department Yearly forecast. Ensure minimums are adhered to Identify need dates to staff. Handle all VIP and Charity Events. Track Advertising Sites, Lost Business and Leads. Catering Leads: Weekly meetings to discuss status of Lead Inquiry sheets. Create Turndown and Lost Inquiry files to review future selling factors and menu pricing. Check all definite business booked for deposits, minimums, status and signatures. Booking System: Delphi. Social Tables. Oversee Training of new Managers. Accounts: All files have correct billing procedures, all paperwork signed by the client, credit card forms, policies, etc. All banquet events are turned definite, deposit/billing information filled out, detailed menus and set-up requests. Files have received a follow-up thank you card/call. All bills must be closed out properly via Accounting. Event Agreement is signed and filed for every client Resumes, Pre Cons and Post Cons. COIs updated and on file. Tax Exempt Report. Menus: Menus are printed accurately and comply with pricing. Comp Sets in your area to ensure your hotel packages/menus are correctly priced. Have Team visit comp sets to view their product and space. Be proactive toward increasing Revenue and Sales. Marketing: Building relationships with Vendors. Creating Marketing efforts. Cold Calling efforts. Performance Review. Office: Oversee Work Schedule and Daily Transactions. Weekend Office coverage and VIP events Job Requirements:
