Labor Relations oversees the administration of all collective bargaining agreements, including all aspects of the grievance process, effects bargaining, and contract negotiations. As a member of the Labor Relations team, you are expected to work with our business partners and team across Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
Responsibilities
Professional ability to consistently deliver exceptional service when interacting with Cast Members, union personnel and team members in a fast-paced environment is critical. Multi-tasking, efficiently prioritizing work scope, and strong computer skills are necessary to be effective in this role. Candidates should be available to work on-site.
Responsible for a variety of functions including, but not limited to:
- Assisting with negotiation and arbitration logistics
- Supporting Labor Relations personnel with grievances, effects bargaining and operations initiatives
- Conducting legal research to share with internal and external audiences
- Gathering confidential information in response to inquiries
- Archiving and maintaining documents
- Supporting projects and initiatives
- Performing other job-related duties as requested
This position will also be trained as a backup to assist with the coverage of administrative functions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Current Junior/Senior earning a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations
- High functional knowledge of SAP/Workday, SharePoint, Zoom and Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Display initiative
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Work well under pressure and manage fluctuating priorities
- Ability to multitask and be flexible when unexpected issues arise by effectively handling changing situations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Understand and follow complex, detailed technical instructions
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
