Job description
Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a Designer to work in the Tulsa, OK area for a top utility and energy company. This position offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
Responsibilities: - Work closely with numerous regions of Transmission Line Engineering.
- Create, revise and maintain engineering and record drawings and sketches.
- Maintain accurate and organized records utilizing Microsoft Excel to record data and generate reports.
- Obtain information required to perform work from verbal communication, sketches, marked drawings, listings, field notes, vendors' catalogs and technical reference manuals and site visits.
- Stay up-to-date on related standard practices and ensure the Company adheres to them. This will involve reviewing current internal procedures, identifying potential risks, and improving Company standard practices.
- Proficient in use of computer aided design software.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
- Read vendors' prints, shop and other drawings and equipment operating instructions, and incorporate that information into the work being performed.
- Develop detailed reports and presentations that communicate compliance information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Promote and support the Company’s Accident Prevention and Safety and Health programs.
- Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements: - Associate degree in Applied Science (AAS) drafting and computer aided design (CAD) or in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering technology with 1 to 2 years of relevant equivalent experience. Four (4) years of experience to be considered for the Senior level.
- Must be familiar with conventional drafting symbols and drafting methods and have the ability to distinguish colors.
- Valid state driver’s license.
