The TTAS Health Specialist will provide comprehensive health and safety technical assistance and training to Head Start, Early Head Start, American Indian/Alaska Native, Migrant & Seasonal Head Start, childcare, and other early childhood and human services programs, serving diverse audiences, and implementing a positive-relationship, team building approach. This is a grant funded position. Continuation is dependent upon funding/need.

The TTAS Health Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to the following activities: 





Job Requirements:

Credentialing: A minimum of Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician's Assistant with current active licensure.

Education and Knowledge:  A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Thorough knowledge of Head Start health and safety, including Head Start Performance Standards, current research and best practices.
Proficient oral and written communication skills.

Experience:  A minimum of one year's relevant nursing experience. Must have experience in working in an early care and education setting, including a minimum of three years working in Head Start/Early Head Start.  Experience developing and providing relevant teaching/training, including training materials and PowerPoint, for adult learners, tailored to the needs of specific, diverse audiences. Must have experience mentoring/coaching adults. Experience working as an effective team member.

Skills:  Proficient oral and written communication skills; Computer skills using the following: Microsoft Office Suite:  PowerPoint; Zoom; internet researching; database applications, and online conferencing and training systems; Able to plan, manage, and participate with extensive travel; Capacity to work out of own home;  Skill in consultation and group facilitation.

Other: Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation; Must have a cellular telephone and service plan capacity for communication and data transmission across states; Values diversity and can demonstrate cultural and linguistic sensitivity





Additional Information:

Salary Range:  $60,000-$64,000
