Position Summary:
We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned Engineering Director to join our team, steering excellence in both engineering and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategic Vision:
- Provide strategic guidance for the engineering department, aligning objectives with broader business goals.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team, cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects within specified scope, budget, and timeline.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to integrate engineering initiatives across departments.
Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency enhancements within food manufacturing operations.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize production processes and improve overall operational performance.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure engineering activities adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate closely with regulatory affairs to stay updated on changes in the food manufacturing industry.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and maintain robust quality assurance processes to uphold product quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to address and resolve any quality-related issues.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the engineering department budget, ensuring effective resource allocation to meet project and organizational objectives.
Talent Development:
- Recruit, train, and nurture engineering talent, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth within the team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to drive individual and team development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in the food manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated success in project management, process optimization, and quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the food manufacturing sector.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
