Financial Reporting and Analysis AVP 
Wilmington, DE

As a Barclays Financial Reporting and Analysis Assistant Vice President, you’ll be responsible for providing insightful and commercial analysis of financial performance to the businesses and executive teams to support operational and strategic decision making. You’ll be responsible for reporting monthly and quarterly results for the US Consumer Bank (USCB). You’ll also analyze & interpret performance across the financial statement including revenue, impairment, costs, balance sheet, and key metrics and communicate with senior stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

•    Preparing and presenting insightful analysis of financial performance and key drivers to USCB and Group senior stakeholders including local CFO and CEO
•    Managing of the external result announcement deliverables including engagement with Investor Relations, Strategy, Group Finance, and USCB Executive Committee
•    Commenting and looking into key Finance materials used for reviews in senior forums like USCB Executive Committee and Monthly Business Review
•    Managing and looking to enhance a best-in-class controls and governance framework resulting in ‘consistently excellence’ deliverables
•    Helping in ad hoc requests from senior management, business, and other key stakeholders
•    Working with a wide range of stakeholders, understanding needs, and working through effective solutions 
•    Assisting with team-wide deliverables and citizenship/community activities  

What we’re looking for? 

•    Analytical, technical and statistical skills with proven ability to process data into meaningful information
•    Excellent critical thinking skills, great attention to detail, solid written/verbal communication skills including senior/executive level presentations 
•    Experience working effectively in a fast paced and rapidly changed environment within a matrix organization
•    Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and develop solid relationships and should be highly motivated and team oriented

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
•    Knowledge of Essbase, Hyperion Planning, SAS, SQL, Alteryx a plus
