Job Description

Forbes Marketplace is looking for a Product Manager to join our rapidly growing team within the Small Business Vertical. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to the development of 0-1 products in our innovative business hub, identifying new monetization opportunities, addressing unique needs of underserved markets, and building highly differentiated products for our large portfolio of small business owners.

 

Responsibilities:

• Identify monetization opportunities and untapped customer markets in the small business space, creating unique and impactful solutions.
• Lead the development of new software products, understanding customer pain points and employing a high degree of craftsmanship aligned with our product principles.
• Rapidly execute product initiatives, promoting a culture of learning and drawing insights from each project.
• Engage in direct communication with customers for product discovery, ensuring our solutions are closely aligned with their needs.
• Identify and implement strategies to continuously improve product reliability, scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.
• Work closely with engineering teams to improve standards, tooling, and processes.
• Utilize SQL for data analysis, deploy experiments, and generate actionable insights to inform product development and strategy.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a product management role, ideally with a background in software engineering.
• Demonstrated success in developing software solutions that not only meet but exceed operating targets in terms of reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Understanding of engineering principles and experience in partnering with engineering teams to improve standards, tooling, and processes.
• Preference for candidates with familiarity with the small business sector and a proven track record of building high-impact solutions in this space.
• Proficiency in SQL, GA, Amplitude with experience in conducting experiments and extracting actionable insights from data.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
