General Statement of Duties Responsible for the supervision of cheering activities at the high school level.
Essential Duties - Responsible for the safety, conduct, and protection of cheerleaders at all events
- Purchases and controls supplies, accessories, and uniforms
- Orders fundraising/spirit boosting materials
- Assists with planning and presentation of pep assemblies
- Secures and distributes sports schedule to cheerleaders
- Communicates with the administration on policies and approval of activities
- Responsible for counseling and discipline of cheerleaders
- Organizes and supervises cheerleader tryouts
- Supervises fundraising activities for summer camp and other cheering activities
- Organizes and supervises practice sessions
- Maintains appropriate, required financial and scholastic records
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications A valid teaching license is preferred.
Leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with pupils, parents, teachers, and other administrators; to provide leadership and support and to create and encourage enthusiastic participation in cheerleading activities.
