Finance Paralegal LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA

SUMMARY: The Financial paralegal provides derivative and structured products services to clients including investment firms and financial institutions. This individual will join a collaborative and involved team and will conduct research, assess financial and economic data, and assist with transactional documents and matters for the firm’s clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Conduct market research and draft documents including economic terms
- Interface with clients and legal counsels regularly and maintain detailed records of transaction history
- Prepare transaction filings with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
- Work closely with partner and at times, directly with clients, providing high quality counsel
- Work on cases and gain exposure to clientele and professionals within securities, tax, trading, equity derivative and asset management
REQUIRED SKILLS: - Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business or related field
- 3+ years of relevant legal experience
- Previous experience with contract drafting
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, DropBox and DocuSign
- Strong familiarity with Entity Formation
- Working knowledge of Financing Agreements and the financial closing process
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Ability to Maintain Strict Confidentiality
- Ability to Manage Time and Tasks Effectively
- Solid Interpersonal Skills
