- Support production departments. Work closely to implement equipment installations, project and develop an efficient production process.
- Machine and automation installations and upgrades.
- Obtain quotations on various projects and manage contractors.
- Project management of new, current and repurposed plant and warehouse equipment.
- Technical leadership with problem solving.
- Capital project justification and management.
- Implement cost reduction and process improvement projects.
- Serves as primary technical communication interface between company, customer, sales and vendors for assigned projects.
- Directs and coordinates activities of resource personnel to ensure progress and adherence to schedule.
- Confers with resource personnel to resolve problems and provide technical leadership and advice.
- Work directly with customers assisting with manufacturing requirements.
- Assist in designing/fabrication for production needs such as tooling, punches, and die packs.
- Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes or systems and very the implementation of solutions.
- Engineering degree preferred from an accredited academic institution or equivalent experience.
- Possess functional knowledge of machinery, tools and fabrication methods.
- Capable of working extended workdays and weekends as needed for plant and project management.
- Basic knowledge of purchasing process including use of JDE or similar software applications.
- Must be self-motivated with excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience with project management and problem solving.
- Ability to understand financial impact of projects and contribute to profitability.
