Restaurant Busser/Barback

Job description

Carmello's & Monza is currently looking to hire a part-time Busser/Barback. Must be at least 16 years old and able to work holidays, Friday, and Saturday nights until at least 11pm.

• Rapidly cleans tables, bar seating, chairs, booths, floors.
• Keeps the host notified of available seating.
• Ensures the cleanliness of the restaurant inside and out.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of restrooms and customer service areas (booths, chairs, tables, etc.) on a consistent basis.
• Assists servers when able by pouring water for tables, pre-bussing tables, and bringing bread baskets for tables.
• Assists bartenders with needs for the bar (changing kegs, re-stocking beer, cutting fruit, re-filling ice, emptying trash).

Requirements:

• Is a team player that provides service that links all of the employee departments together to ensure 100% guest satisfaction.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects such as kegs, be in physical shape to go up and down stairs (storage area), and work late shifts on weekends.
• Restaurant experience is preferred but not necessary. 
• Upbeat, energetic, motivated.

Carmello’s is a family owned and operated restaurant in Historic Manassas, which specializes in contemporary cuisine with Portuguese and some Italian influence. We have been in business for 38 years and counting. This is due to our wonderful staff members that keep people coming back for more. Monza is a sister restaurant established around 12 years ago - a casual bar and restaurant adjacent to Carmello's that specializes in Italian classic cuisine, wood-fired pizza, Saturday and Sunday brunch foods, craft cocktails and beer.
