Requirements
SolAmerica Energy is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager with a strong project management background and experience planning photovoltaic (PV) projects. This position will interact daily with internal teams, contracting partners, and governmental agencies.
Manage, track, and report on projects in the Preconstruction phase.
Coordinate with internal departments for handover of projects to Preconstruction
Coordinate with Procurement Department
EPC and Contractor management
Manage the handover process from Preconstruction to the project execution phase
Project due diligence

Office Location & Travel Requirements
Ideal candidates will be based out of the Atlanta, Georgia area and will be able to work from our HQ based in the Buckhead area pursuant to the company's hybrid work policy.
SolAmerica will consider remote candidates living within a manageable driving or flying distance from Atlanta. The position requires travel to Atlanta and other meetings with an expectation of approximately one to four trips per year.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
● Undergraduate STEM degree ( may consider demonstrable experience in relevant industries in lieu of STEM degree )
● Experience and understanding of Project Management fundamentals including project schedules, budgets, and contracts.
● At least 5 years of relevant experience at a major solar development and/or EPC company
● Excellent negotiation, organization, technical documentation, and problem-solving skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
● Ability to exercise judgment to appropriately balance risks with business objectives
● Intellectual curiosity and a desire to constantly learn and improve
● Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
● Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
● Experience working with renewable energy companies and a deep understanding of the solar industry
● Experience with solar electrical equipment engineering and/or electrical engineering
● Experience with solar racking design and engineering process (geotechnical studies, pile load testing, etc.)
● Proficient with MS Project
● Experience presenting to executive-level audiences.
● Active PMP Certification
