Job description

Description:

A unique position for someone who can read and interpret design prints, assemble equipment per prints, design electrical diagrams troubleshoot automation equipment, and diagnose/fix faults in support for maintaining existing equipment. • Proven ability to design panel layouts and create electrical schematics using 2D AutoCAD Electrical software (Bonus - not a must have) • Proven ability to specify electronic and pneumatic components to develop BOM for controls • Proven ability to build well organized and labeled controls • Modify and Troubleshoot PLC’s & HMI’s (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, and Panel View) controllers. • Assemble, maintain, calibrate and inspect automation control systems. • Maintain Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications. • Troubleshoot and Modify PLC logic to support development of new equipment. • Maintain and update documentation for automated equipment (electrical schematics, panel drawings, manuals, etc.) • Provide timely resolution in troubleshooting technical issues relating to instrumentation and automation control systems of new and older equipment. • Evaluate the performance of both automated and manual assembly equipment to optimize performance. • Experience with robotics and motion control is a plus (with focus on UR and Fanuc Controllers). • Demonstrated experience in conceptualizing, designing, Modifying, and troubleshooting equipment and control systems with specific experience with Troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLC’s. • Thorough understanding of strength of materials, hydraulics, pneumatics, cam devices, stepper/server motors, drive systems, slide systems, sensor technologies and application, and machine control systems. • Strong electrical skills, industrial maintenance experience preferred, and solid experience with 3 phase motors, panel wiring, and VFD’s • Must be self-motivated, driven, focused and results oriented
