Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

Manage the regional supplier performance and implementation of Direct materials sourcing strategy in alignment with Global commodity team.  Deploy the direct commodity strategy in the region. Ensure the existence and deployment on time of an updated cost reduction action plan for direct materials to achieve the financial objectives of the perimeter in charge. Define opportunities for cost reduction and supply chain optimization, validating them with Commodity teams for further execution. Lead commercial negotiations with regional suppliers. Propose parts to be localized to the relevant commodity. Define and lead productivity initiatives with suppliers and relevant functions for regional perimeter. Maintain vendor allocation / direct material price management in the ERP (AXAPTA), in line with global Commodity strategy. Propose and contribute to supplier's base optimization with commodity team.  Lead commercial negotiations with regional suppliers in charge (KAM). Consolidate and share performance for suppliers in charge with global teams to ensure proper supplier performance.  Deploy the CAPEX material strategy in the region.  Define opportunities for cost reduction with suppliers, plants and global teams. Propose and contribute to supplier base optimization. Define and ensure deployment of best practices. Involve plant function department to review regularly the cost reduction action plan and ensure deployment on time of cost reduction activities. Provide regular feedback to commodity team about supplier performance. Support plant supplier quality performance through Regional Supply Performance teams. Manage cash allocation bi-weekly basis together with global/regional finance.  Support the material flow for new blades, developing supply strategies to ensure products are launched on schedule. Manage and feed the price info. in multiple plants IT systems. Build the monthly reporting & validate serial purchasing information sent to the Group. Report activities according to group rules. Ontime availability of materials and no downtime production at manufacturing sites. Develop and manage inbound logistics processes (Customs & Freight Forwarding) in line with production plan requirement, also in co-ordination with Global Logistics team; Outbound Logistics- Customs Documentation as per the requirements given by sales team. Deploy Duty Concession benefits whenever applicable in co-ordination with the Government authorities; Compliance Audits- Participate in Statutory audits. Drive Regional Sourcing strategy together with Regional Supply Performance team, deploy the Regional cost-out projects. Deploy best practices related to Sourcing&Logistics Cost-out programs across the regions.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in International Relations or Business, and 6 years of experience in a related occupation required.  The position also requires: 2 years of experience with People management; 6 years of experience with Sourcing and Supply Chain; and 6 years of experience in using Supply chain module of ERP Systems. Up to 10% travel required for negotiation with suppliers, supply chain risk mitigation efforts, and local support to plant teams in the US, Canada and Brazil, eventual travel to other regions besides Americas also possible.

Telecommuting permitted position. Must live near a major international airport, and report into company headquarters office.
