As a member of the Satellite Connectivity Group, you will work on the satellite network that enables connectivity to iPhone when off the grid without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. Every day, Apple customers use Emergency SOS via satellite to access emergency assistance when they are in need of help and have no other means to communicate. Our team is looking for a systems engineer to build the verification and validation plan and support its execution for a complex system of systems. The candidate will help define, drive and report on large-scale test plans that rigorously validate each system component and their integration to ensure they are ready to delight our customers. Additionally, the candidate will work with the team to ensure consistency across the various systems, identify gaps in test coverage and streamline testing by identifying and eliminating redundant work.
Key Qualifications
- Significant experience developing verification matrices to audit and analyze test coverage of large scale diverse systems
- Curious systems engineer with experience working with requirements derivation, flow-down, and KPI/P development
- Breadth of knowledge and some depth of knowledge of multiple subject areas including wireless systems
- Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure they deliver working systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to adapt communication style as required for different audiences

Education & Experience
- 5+ years system engineering experience
- Minimum BS Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
