Job description
The purpose of this position is:
• To provide and execute the production plan for manufacture and repair operations in line with the forecast and operational demand
• To effectively manage and develop workshop resources through accurate planning and training
• To contribute and drive key performance measures which are deployed throughout the business in pursuit of operational excellence (i.e. quality, cost, delivery, response).
• To be responsible for the P&L of the East Windsor site
• To embrace and further develop a Lean culture through the application and demonstration of Lean principles
• To interact with Engineering and Quality Assurance to develop and drive technical excellence
Job Responsibilities
- Manages resources for the fulfillment of the manufacture and repair workscope
- Managing quality control through production from order receipt to final dispatch
- Accountable for overseeing that work instructions are executed accurately and timely via the route sheet review process and production monitoring of material and labor costs
- Manage and oversee the work order review including labor and material costs, purchase orders and Bill of Material for the manufacture, overhaul, repair and package repairs process
- Deliver manufacture and repair services on time and to the defined specifications as per the demands on both internal & external customers for the repair business stream
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, legislative and EthosEnergy, IPR, Import/Export Controls standards & processes
- Supports the implementation of service excellence and lean principles across the facility targeting reductions in cycle times, inventory and quality costs while improving responsiveness, product/service quality and delivery performance
- Manages the workshop facility to deliver standard processes, systems, methods and behaviors in support of operational excellence objectives
- Supports all HSE processes and objectives, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with QHSE Policies and high levels of housekeeping are maintained within the workshop area.
Required Skills / Knowledge
- Excellent people skills and ability to direct personnel to maximum performance
- Strong IT skills (general Microsoft suite + ERP experience)
- An understanding of Lean principles (facilitation and application)
- Ability to apply/facilitate Root Cause Analysis and problem solving techniques
- Service industry mentality & background
