Title: Hotel General Manager
Location: Burlington, NC
Position Summary: The Hotel General Manager will oversee all operations and management of the Hotel. They will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining a positive work environment, and achieving financial goals.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage departments
- Develop and implement strategies to meet financial goals and increase profitability
- Ensure excellent guest satisfaction by monitoring reviews and responding to guest feedback
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the property
- Create a positive work environment by developing and motivating team members
- Manage employee scheduling, performance evaluations, and training programs
- Monitor budget performance and make adjustments as needed to control costs
- Collaborate with sales team to develop marketing strategies to attract guests and increase revenue
- Handle any guest complaints or issues in a professional manner, resolving them effectively
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure quality standards are met
- Develop relationships with local businesses and partners to promote the hotel
Qualifications:
- Prior IHG experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a hotel management role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven track record of meeting financial targets
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of hotel industry trends and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Working Conditions:
This position requires flexible working hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and sometimes overnight stays.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, bend, kneel, or squat as needed.
