Our latest product line is setting new standards in the boating world, and we're looking for a visionary Vice President of Engineering to lead the charge. In this role, you'll spearhead the commercialization of our cutting-edge stabilization technology, guiding our product development, R&D, and embedded systems teams. What You'll Do:
Provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction to our engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Play a key role in technical discussions, offering insight on strategic prioritization, risk management, and the future direction of our technology.
Take charge of our 5-year product development roadmap, ensuring continuous improvement and market relevance of our products.
Dive deep into engineering challenges across various disciplines—controls, embedded software/hardware, electronics design, mechanical design, and hydrodynamics—to ensure the highest standards of technology development.
Lead by example, directly engaging with technical challenges and mobilizing resources to overcome obstacles.
Recruit, mentor, and develop a talented team of engineers, nurturing future leaders and promoting a culture of curiosity and data-driven decision-making.
Ensure timely delivery of world-class products without compromising on quality, serving as a primary product liaison in executive discussions.

What You Need to Succeed:

Must-Haves:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering.
A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in product development, including full project lifecycle management and successful product launches.
At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, managing diverse engineering teams and fostering professional growth.
A passion for mentoring and a knack for energizing junior engineers.
Demonstrated flexibility and agility, with a proven ability to navigate changing circumstances and business demands.
Strong communication skills, capable of effectively conveying complex technical concepts across all organizational levels.

Additional Details:
This position is based in our Fort Myers, FL office.
You'll report directly to the President & CEO and play a pivotal role in our senior leadership team.
Occasional travel (up to 15%) may be required.
