Diocese of Allentown Holy Guardian Angels Regional School, Reading Position Description Job Title: Resource Teacher FSLA: Exempt Job Status: Full-time Reporting Functions: Reports to the School Principal Job Function: The Resource Teacher will be responsible for providing specialized educational support to students, both in the classroom and in small group settings. This position will work collaboratively with classroom teachers, school counselors, and administrators to implement education plans that meet the individual needs of each student. ****NOTE: APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT A TEACHER APPLICATION, COVER LETTER, AND RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION. Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, school administrators, and parents to ensure that students are receiving appropriate instruction and services. Educational Requirements: Other Requirements: PRIOR TO INTERVIEW: Clear records of Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (PATCH), Pennsylvania Child Abuse History, and Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Background Fingerprint Check as required under Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Act 153 of 2014 (at least 1 year old.) As well as attendance at a Protecting God's Children class and Mandated Reporter Training. Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear; frequent use of equipment including repetitive motions and computer eye fatigue; possible biological exposure to bacteria and communicable diseases. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment; may occasionally climb stairs or ladders. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word: hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities. Working Conditions: Classroom setting with working hours of 7:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., 37.5 hours a week, Monday through Friday.
