Our Team:
The Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) domain is seeking an experienced Finance Systems Manager to plan, lead, and elevate engineering work among our Finance Technology teams. As a leader within our domain, you will help develop and drive execution against the strategy for our financial systems, partnering with engineers to plan and roadmap effectively. Our Finance Tech teams focus on the integration of order and sales data into the financial system of record (SAP); provision of SAP data to other systems for reporting, analytics, and transactional purposes; configuration, development, and maintenance of finance and accounting processes in SAP; and administration of various financial cloud applications serving Vista. We are in search of an individual who can bring technical expertise to the forefront, and combined with a solid understanding in finance and accounting, ensure efficient engineering execution and collaboration in line with our strategy and vision.
What You Will Do:
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Forge collaborative relationships with stakeholders in the Finance, Accounting, and Manufacturing orgs, as well as upstream/downstream technology teams. Stay abreast of business and technology developments around the organization, and ensure the EBS Finance teams are prepared and able to accommodate, advise, and support Vista’s needs. You will partner with leaders across Vista Engineering to sequence and prioritize work, and brainstorm cross-team approaches and solutions. You will also collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, SAP experts, and systems analysts within EBS to enhance the execution process, balance strategic work with technical improvements and day-to-day support.
- Engineering Strategy and Roadmap: Formulate and drive the engineering strategy and roadmap for our financial systems. Consider market trends, internal requirements, and business objectives in shaping our technical direction. Develop and maintain a backlog of value-adding work increments, defining value through data-driven metrics.
- System Design and Architecture: Collaborate with key stakeholders in finance and engineering to understand requirements and design scalable finance systems solutions. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s financial processes to ensure system alignment with business needs. Drive the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure finance systems architecture.
- Requirement Definition and Analysis: Utilize your experience, market/industry insights, and stakeholder collaboration to gather, define, break down, and prioritize business and technical requirements. Ensure the delivery of high-quality financial products by building actionable delivery models and taking ownership of technical documentation, including Epics, User Stories, and Wireframes.
- Project Management: Lead and coordinate projects related to finance systems enhancements, upgrades, and implementations. Develop project plans, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget. Proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- System Integration and Optimization: Oversee the integration of finance systems with other enterprise systems to streamline processes and improve data accuracy. Continuously assess and optimize the performance of finance systems, implementing improvements as needed. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of financial systems innovation.
- Agile Management: Oversee the progress of work increments, support plans, and insights and analytics to facilitate a seamless delivery of business value. Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, and backlog refinements, ensuring alignment of agile processes with engineering expectations.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor various channels of information flow to gather feedback on product performance, usage, adoption, challenges, opportunities. Promote a culture of constant learning and collaborate with engineers to address tech debt, implement technical improvements, and look for new ideas.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure that financial systems adhere to regulatory compliance and security standards. Collaborate closely with compliance and security teams to meet these requirements. Oversee adherence to timelines and execution of SOX control-related activities in the team.
Your Qualifications:

- 8+ years of professional experience with 3+ years as a Finance Systems Manager.
- Experience in managing complex and high-quality B2B/B2C financial products, preferably in the e-commerce domain.
- In-depth understanding of Finance and Accounting processes acquired through direct experience in a Finance/Accounting team or through Engineering Management for a financially-oriented technology team.
- Exposure to products in and around the ERP space, integrated systems, finance/accounting systems. Strong experience with SAP is preferred.
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development/Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields. Degrees in Finance & Accounting, Business Analytics, or related areas will also be considered.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Confluence, Jira, Miro, Looker, and familiarity with Procure to Pay and Order to Cash processes.
- Understanding of Data Analytics and its applications.
- Exceptional collaboration, partnership, presentation, and influencing skills.
