International Admissions is a subunit of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions which reports to the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management. Enrollment Management also includes the following functional units: Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid and Scholarships, Student Lifecycle Technology, the Office of the University Registrar, Enrollment Management Marketing and Graduate Enrollment Management. International Admissions is responsible for international undergraduate and non-degree admissions, and graduate, undergraduate, and non-degree international recruitment. A key member of the recruitment team, the International Student Recruiter must have a passion for the University of Kansas, be highly-motivated, goal-oriented, and have the ability to articulate the values and objectives of the University of Kansas to attract, recruit, admit, and enroll a high quality and diverse student population to meet the enrollment goals of KU. The position is a combination of people-facing responsibilities as well as administrative tasks. This position reports to the Recruitment Manager within International Admissions. Duties include communicating daily and building relationships with prospective student and families, counselors, sponsors, and agents; managing correspondence; coordinating in-person and virtual recruitment events and visits; and collaborating with other recruitment staff. Admissions representatives are responsible for interpreting data to tailor outreach efforts with the goal of elevating KU's market position and profile. Domestic and international travel may be required. Some evening and weekend work is required. This position also supervises the International Student Ambassadors.
