About the Role: Wing is looking for a
Head of Sourcing & Procurement to join our
Hardware Engineering & Supply Chain team based in
Palo Alto, California . The ideal candidate has deep expertise across supply chain development and will leverage their best practices and management experience to lead a high performing team.
What You'll Do: - Lead and develop a high functioning team responsible for Wing Sourcing and Procurement
- Engage and own the commercial relationship with manufacturing & service providers
- Responsible for cost negotiations, continuity of supply/service, and risk management
- Drive operational and cost efficiencies through process or design change
- Thrive in a rapidly changing environment and constantly drive excellence across their own responsibilities and that of team members and partners
- Leverage strategic internal relationships to effectively collaborate with stakeholders. Make innovative decisions with available information, think and focus under pressure
- Scale new and existing manufacturing partners and execute creative and strategic commercial deals to achieve goals around total cost, supply, quality
- Identify new technology solutions and services to enable the next generation roadmap for software & flight automation (including software, data, professional services)
What You'll Need: - 15+ years of supply chain development experience with sourcing and materials management with expertise in direct and indirect procurement
- Strong engineering background in product development
- 5+ years managing teams
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related areas
- Ability to travel to supplier locations
- Top-notch analytical/negotiation skills
- Ability to toggle between strategic and detail oriented thinking
- Tenacious problem solving and issue resolution skills
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence across multiple functional teams
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and rapidly changing environments
- Excellent communicator
- Capable of working in multinational environments
- Driven and motivated by accomplishing extraordinary objectives
Bonus: - Master or advanced degree in engineering, business or related areas
The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing's salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
Salary Range
$199,000-$279,000 USD
