SUPERVISOR

SEASONAL – SUMMER 2024

The Fairfield Beach Club in Fairfield, CT is looking for Shift Managers to join our team! This is a seasonal position for the summer of 2024.

The Shift Manager is tasked with the daily opening or closing of the club facilities during the operating season. While on duty, they supervise that each individual department is functioning efficiently and is completing their respective daily checklists. In addition, they should strive to engage with the membership and their guests to foster a friendly and cordial environment where they feel welcomed. The Shift Manager should be aware of any club events, be proficient with the club website and have in depth knowledge of the club grounds to answer any questions, comments or concerns from the membership should they require assistance.

In the Shift Manager we would like to find an individual who can promote a safe and enjoyable work environment for the staff. Someone who can develop the efficiency required to achieve the duties of each individual department on any given day.

INTERVIEWS START MARCH 15th. Information about scheduling an interview will be sent to all applicants 2 weeks before March 15th.

Responsibilities

• Always maintain a professional appearance and attitude as well as provide exceptional customer service to the membership in any capacity regarding the club
• Should be on time for their scheduled shift and be diligent and proactive in their responsibilities
• The ability to lead and coordinate multiple departments at any given time
• Have a knowledge and proficiency of our club website, club events and the club grounds to address questions or concerns by the club membership
• Able to foster an efficient and enjoyable work environment
• Have the flexibility to work, days, nights, weekends, and holidays (including the 4th of July weekend)
• Conflict resolution skills

Qualifications

• At least one year of managerial or equivalent experience
• Ability to lift and carry objects a minimum of 25 pounds
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
