Job description

The YMCA is hiring Youth Soccer Coaches to serve as mentors and role models for the children in our childcare and community soccer program. As a Youth Soccer Coach, you will help kids develop basic soccer skills and fundamentals of the sport. Kids will learn passing, dribbling, shooting, and more while practicing their skills in weekly matches. Soccer League keeps the focus on fun and healthy competition - so every kid gets the chance to shine!

In our Youth Sports programs, we provide the children the opportunity to make new friends, improve coordination, learn about teamwork & sportsmanship, and of course, have a blast!

Youth Soccer Coach: The YMCA is looking for a Youth Soccer Coach who can work Fridays from 5:00pm to 7:00pm (March 22-May 3).

• Coach children between the ages of three and nine, helping them develop the basic skills and fundamentals of their sport
• Create a positive and nurturing relationship with the children, while building cooperative relationships with the parents and caregivers
• Encourage children to cheer on their peers and and work to promote & build team unity
• Promote and support the potential of all children in the program, as well as facilitate peer-to-peer connections
• Serve as a mentor and role model to the youth in our programs

Pay & Benefits:

• Coach: $13.07/hour
• Head Coach: $13.57/hour
• Part-time employees begin accruing Sick Leave immediately upon hire and Paid Time Off (PTO) after one year of employment
• All employees receive a free YMCA membership!

• At least 18 years old
