Perfusionist: Heart of the Operation

We are seeking a Chief Perfusionist to join our SpecialtyCare team in Newport News, VA.This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of two (2) perfusionists supporting two (2) talented surgeons. The adult only caseload includes a wide variety of case types and some ECMO is possible.

Newport News is located on the banks of the Hampton Roads harbor in southeastern Virginia. Combined with its great location and rich history, which begins shortly after the founding of Jamestown, makes Newport News a perfect place to call home! Located minutes from Williamsburg and a short drive to Virginia Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. From this central Coastal Virginia location, you can experience ships, history and the great outdoors.

Position Requirements:

Graduate of Accredited Perfusion training program, minimum required.

Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP)

Five plus years of perfusion experience; previous experience as a Chief Perfusionist preferred.

Ability to work on Call; must live within 30 minutes from the hospital
