Ulta Beauty is building a best-in-class Enterprise Data Organization with the goal of creating enterprise value through data, making a significant impact on the company's already rapid growth. The company wants to ensure they are both innovative and rigorous as they build out data capabilities across the enterprise.
The Data Product Manager is a strategic role with responsibility of our enterprise data product lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity to provide leadership in building and operating industry leading, enterprise grade data assets, as product, from a cloud based Big Data ecosystem to enable Advanced Analytics, Reporting and Operation use cases. This position will be responsible for assisting in defining and delivering enterprise-wide data products.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:
- Assist in the definition, design and delivery of enterprise data products within Ulta’s Analytics Platform and related applications, reporting directly to the Director of Data Product
- Document monitor and revise the following artifacts in support of product development: product requirements, process maps, use cases, user acceptance test plans, project plans, and release notes.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining the product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short- and long-term releases
- Work with lines of business across Digital, Merchandising, Marketing, Store Ops, Supply Chain, Finance and HR to identify growth and operational efficiency opportunities which can be solved using Data-as-a-Product
- Work with the Data Science, Analytics, Report consumer and Data Technology teams to build appropriate data capabilities to meet enterprise business needs
- Guide multiple product owners on right data requirements
- Influence the organization to ensure that data is at the forefront of all enterprise initiatives
- Stay well connected with the retail industry, emerging data trend, and be the voice of innovation using data in the organization
ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
- 10+ years of successful Product Management experience, working with first party customer data, digital, marketing, supply chain, store operation, product, vendor and external.
- Strong data analytics background with a demonstrated ability to translate business needs into creative and engaging output. Working knowledge of business intelligence/reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau with related experience analyzing data as well as writing queries and reports
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members and management.
- Experience in working with enterprise scale report and dashboards
- Experience with democratizing data at enterprise scale and
- Experience working in Agile model and defining and tracking data value metrics
- Proficiency in working with conceptual data model, data profiling, visualization, SQL etc.
- Good understanding of Data Architecture
- Experience of Product Management in Agile environment
- Experience with cloud data platform such as GCP/Azure/AWS
- Industry experience in Retail is a huge plus
The pay range for this position is $113,600.00 - $153,400.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
