This is a 12-week, full-time paid summer internship. This position will be reporting to the Vice President, Risk and Compliance. The primary responsibilities of the Compliance Intern include:

• Assist with regulatory initiatives and support the VP of Risk and Compliance along with the Chief Compliance Officer management.
• Prepare applicable reporting for Enterprise Risk Committee and Board of Director meetings. 
• Support Meritize’s compliance program by performing a variety of duties. 
• Assist with regulatory and audit inquiries when appropriate.
• Support a culture within the Risk and Compliance Department in prioritizing quality and continuous improvement on all performance accountabilities, associate satisfaction, and efficiency.

To be eligible for this internship, applicants must have: 

• A college degree or ongoing studies in a related field (Finance/Economics/Law)
• Be a sophomore or greater in college (preferred)
• Strong critical thinking and research acumen, excellent writing and editing skills, and knowledge and ability within Microsoft Office suite. 
• Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret everyday regulatory updates, financial reports, and legal documents. Utilize PowerPoint to create compliance reports.
