The Controller Is responsible for managing, administering, and controlling financial information for the organization to include reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting financial and budgetary reports, directing all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial plan. Oversees the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
The following essential functions represent the primary work performed; however, other responsibilities could be expected that are not detailed here but fall within the scope of this role.
- Perform and oversee facility accounting functions ensuring compliance with corporate accounting and finance policies and procedures
- Manage month-end close processes ensuring accurate & timely delivery
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and internal management reporting
- Develop internal financial reports to communicate facility performance and cost management
- Execute capital project reporting
- Support fixed asset accounting
- Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are performed
- Develop and implement business controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records
- Support internal and external audit activities
- Support the cost accounting functions
- Establish and monitor cost system for each facility
- Assist with development and implementation of annual business strategies and priorities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
- 8 years of progressive experience in accounting or other related financial roles
- Manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing direct reports
- Proven track record of implementing and executing continuous improvement projects and leading organizational transformation
- Ability to think broadly and contribute to organizational and production scheduling planning
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present ideas and deliverables to internal and external stakeholders
- Creative, and results oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with others to identify and solve issues, make proactive recommendations, and lead through influence
- Self-directed work style, able to work autonomously, prioritize and deliver results
Technology and Systems:
- Experience working with Infor Visual or other ERP system
- Experience with advanced data analysis tools such as Power BI or MS Access
