Job description
Salary- $20 per hour

Skill Building services are designed to restore, rehabilitate, and support a youth’s developmentally appropriate functioning.
Circare is seeking a Part Time Skill Builder to work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to perform functions that will support the care and treatment of youth and families. The Skill Builder will design and provide activities that focus on life and social skills, establishment of lasting community connections, while supporting the family to create a safe physical and emotional environment. Circare is looking for a candidate who is committed to working with youth who have complex mental health needs, has the ability to engage youth and families and build trusting relationships, has well developed advocacy skills, and possesses the ability to function independently.
Qualifications
High school diploma with a minimum 2 years of experience in mental health, addiction and/or foster care and demonstrated case planning ability required; or
a Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or in related human services; or
a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or in related human services
Ability and willingness to engage and work with families in an in-home context
Training in therapeutic crisis intervention, conflict resolution, trauma informed care and positive behavioral interventions and supports beneficial
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Circare’s insurance carrier requires that Circare employees who drive personal vehicles for work maintain minimum auto insurance coverage limits of at least $100,000/person; $300,000/accident and that employees provide HR with proof of current minimum insurance coverage (copy of Auto Liability Insurance Declaration Page) on their first day of employment. Employees are required to provide an updated Auto Liability Insurance Declaration Page to HR by expiration date on Declaration Page.
Responsibilities
Provide appropriate skill-building activities designed to help participants develop skills that will enable them to achieve their goals as outlined in the plan of care and promotes independence, community inclusion, and improved quality of life.
Coordinate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that services are collaborative and complement other services treatment goals.
Assist with implementing interventions on the plan of care that are designed to reduce and/or eliminate functional deficits associated with behavioral health needs.
Work with child/youth on the practical application of therapeutic goals.
Support the youth/family in creating lasting community connections.
