Premier Subaru of Fremont is looking to hire an AUTOMOTIVE PARTS COUNTER!

Responsibilities
- Solicit new business opportunities via direct mailings, phone sales, and in-person sales calls.
- Build strong positive relationships with current and future clients.
- Takes and fills wholesale parts orders in person or via telephone.
- Ensure proper billing for parts sold.
- Follows up with charging customers when payments are due.
- Keeps a level of security for parts inventory.
- Assists in keeping inventory orderly.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Retrieves (pulls) purchased parts from inventory or if the requested parts are not in inventory determines availability, prepare parts requisition, and submit order as required.
- Keeps accurate records of special-order parts.
- Assists outside sales representatives with their orders.
- Processes orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up at counter
- Receives and ships parts in accordance with company policies.
- Verifies "will call" and "back-order" files weekly and return to vendors, or re-stocks items not required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and prior auto parts sales experience (preferred)
- Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents.
- Ability to calculate figures/amounts including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, %, area, circumference, and volume.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Exceptional phone skills: positive, enthusiastic, and attentive tone to help the customer feel comfortable during the conversation, clear enunciation, exceptional listening skills…. leave the Customer Satisfied.
- General automotive knowledge preferred.
- Professional personal appearance
- Ability to work well with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time.
Pay Incentives
- The Parts Counter Sales Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $19.00.
