Job description
Job Summary: Responsible for setting up event space for Suntree Country Club functions and serving food and beverages in a professional, courteous and friendly manner.
Schedule: Days, nights, & weekends a must.
Essential Job Functions:
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Must help assemble temporary dance floors, podiums and other structures.
- Ability to grasp, lift, or carry or move goods on a hand trust weighing a max of 60 pounds.
- Ability to lift trays of up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling.
- Must have at least 6 months of serving experience in restaurant or banquet dining.
- Gather supplies and set up banquet room as described by Director and Assistant Director of Events to include linen, service ware and glassware.
- Must be able to adhere to timelines in completion of set-ups.
- Attend meetings before events to learn function, guest and Club expectations.
- Greet guests and respond to requests in a professional manner.
- Promptly bus dishes as guests complete each course.
- Perform all assigned side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking banquet shelves and supplies.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
- Follows safety and security procedures and rules.
- Must have basic knowledge of food & beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations & etiquette.
- Attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and hardworking.
