There is an exciting opportunity for a Summer Internship at Stryten Energy. We are looking for Engineer students for an internship beginning May of 2024 through August 2024. This is a 40 hour week, paid opportunity but housing is not provided so you must have both housing and transportation.
Responsibilities - Self –motivated with ability to work with little supervision
- Strong oral & written communication skills
- Ability to work in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Excel & Word documents
- High degree of electrical knowledge and a strong mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrate ability in electrical, pneumatic, & mechanical operations
- Demonstrate ability to connect, using a lap top , to multiple types of Allen Bradley PLC’s using RSLynx software
- Demonstrate understanding of stepping motor controls and interfacing to PLC systems.
- Demonstrate ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions in a PLC programming environment
- Demonstrate ability to make minor changes to enact improvements or repairs to existing PLC controlled equipment
- Demonstrate ability to read & interpret electrical schematics as they relate to existing field wiring
Qualifications EDUCATION
- Enrolled in a Technical School or Collage preferred
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- Basic MS office skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching
- Required to lift and handle parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
