Job description
Performs various duties in review and processing of CAPIC Underwriting Submissions, account management (policies and endorsements for new and existing business), technical support (bug reports and project requests) and support of Business Development Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Submission Processing
- Log new and existing account submissions into Salesforce, CAP System and OnBase.
- Review submissions for completeness, including Account Summary, Application, Roster, Exposure Information, Loss Runs, and Certificate of Current Coverage
- Gather credentialing information, including license checks, board certification checks, malpractice court checks, etc.
- Identify missing information and advise Senior Underwriter and VP of CAPIC Underwriting
- Prepare specimen policy and notable endorsements
- Update bound submissions (new and existing business) in Salesforce and CAP System
- Update Salesforce and CAP System for submissions we decline to quote or that do not bind coverage with CAPIC
- Assist with the creation of binders, policies, and endorsements for new and existing business
- Input data in CAP System Entity in the Coverage, Personal Info, Affiliates, History, Miscellaneous, and Billing/Census tabs
- Assist in the bulk upload of providers into CAP System
- Cross train on other positions as required for “time off” coverage as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Technical Support
- Submit bug reports and project requests to MIS on behalf of CAPIC
- Support MIS programmers in the development and testing of CAPIC project requests
- Assist in the conceptualization and implementation of CAPIC department innovation goals
- Update Account Managers of notable weekly claims activity
- Assist outside consultant in the development and maintenance of CAPIC Salesforce reports and dashboards
Support of Business Development Officer
- Assist with travel and meeting planning.
- Coordinate the delivery and return of marketing and promotional materials to conferences as needed
Education and/or Experience :
- High School diploma or GED, AA preferred
- 2 years administrative/clerical experience in medical or insurance industry preferred; 1 year in an administrative/clerical capacity at CAP
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, spelling and grammar
- Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce; proficiency in the use of OnBase software preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills

Pay: $44,000.00 - $49,000.00 per year
