GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Sr. Analyst I, Product Analytics & Risk - Deposits is responsible for development of reporting and analytics supporting risk/return strategies and ongoing risk management of Deposit programs to meet member financial needs, enable sustainable growth and optimize economic returns.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
oCreate data storytelling, converting data into usable information to assist in making data driven decisions.
oAssist Leadership and Senior Analysts with complex analysis, using data to add value to our business partners.
oAssist with preparation of documentation of analysis to create a report of findings.
oManage required ad hoc report preparation, analysis, and presentation to management as reference for strategic decisions, committee review and other information requests.
oUsing Excel and SQL, aggregate multiple data sources into a single story to summarize the results of a review into actionable points for Senior Management.

oAssist with requirement gathering using interviews, document analysis, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis.
oContinue to expand on an understanding of lending/deposit rates, policies and procedures impacting responsibilities.
oPerform reviews or validations of Product Analyst I/II/III work prior to, or in lieu of, review by Team Leadership.
oEnsure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control.
oWork with Leadership and with other Analysts on complex analysis, using data to add value to our business partners.
oDevelop reports for executive management and committees, ensuring that the reports are accurate and thorough.
oUse Statistical concepts and tools to find causation, patterns, and trends.
oAssist with modeling and model creation to solve complex problems.
oRecommend enhancements to analytical modeling tools to further support strategic plans and initiatives.
oProactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements for projects.
oLead complex analysis projects, coordinating and delegating work to Jr Analysts and business partners to ensure success.
oProactively ask questions and use data to answer these questions, creating new knowledge adding value.
oGather and integrate data and contextual information to design rigorous analyses to support carefully crafted projections.
oUtilize advanced data analytics tools and techniques to build periodic lag/lead trend analysis reports, and present insights and findings that are relevant, actionable, and visually appealing to management.
oReview and maintain an understanding of current and future economic landscape and internal and external influences.
oDevelop and provide written and verbal recommendations and alternative solutions based on the results of analyses, taking into consideration internal and external factors and strategic goals and initiatives.
oAssist with workflow, monitoring the ticketing queue for new work and ensuring it is assigned to the right teammate for success.
oAssist with the technical skill growth and business knowledge growth of Jr Analysts oRisk Strategy: Develop and implement key risk strategies for lending and/or deposit products.
oCustomer Analytics: Leverage diverse sources of data to develop insights into customer behavior, preferences, and needs.
oReporting and Analytics: Deliver accurate and timely reporting, dashboards, and visualizations to key stakeholders, enabling them to monitor performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
oRisk Identification: Identify risks to the organization via ongoing reporting of key metrics and portfolio trends.
oEfficiency: Identify opportunities to leverage technology and streamline risk processes, driving automation, efficiency, and improved member experience.
oIndustry Monitoring: Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in retail risk management, and implement relevant changes to enhance risk reporting.
oRegulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements related to retail financial services products. Ensure that product risk is managed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
oTeamwork: Collaborate with cross-functional partners, such as marketing, finance, operations, and IT, to achieve defined outcomes.
oRepresent contacts with business and trade associations, members, and regulatory agencies. Attend civil functions and otherwise promote the image.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline
2.EXPERIENCE:
o8+ years or more of analytics and risk management experience with an emphasis on Deposits – origination and portfolio management.
o8+ years or more of progressive banking/credit union experience.
